Luxury Dorset Cottage with Hot Tub

Ground Floor
The sitting room and separate kitchen (through which the cottage is entered) are accessed directly up one step from the veranda, via French doors which enable the magnificent scenery to be enjoyed from inside the cottage. The reflection of the sea can even be seen on the oven door in the kitchen!
It is delightful to watch the sunset from the cottage. The sun setting on the sea, and behind Golden Cap gives opportunity for some amazing photography and memories.
The kitchen has a large solid oak table, and comfortable seating for 6 guests and has been fitted with integrated Bosch appliances for guest convenience; a dishwasher, washer/dryer, waist height oven with grill, separate hob, microwave and fridge freezer. A small walk in boot room is located to the side of the kitchen with plenty of storage for outdoor coats and footwear (see inventory).
The sitting room has comfy seating for 6 people, a cosy log burner (a basket of logs is included), smart TV with Freeview, and a USB charging point.
The entire property is centrally heated and has oak wood flooring throughout. A wooden staircase leads to the landing on the first floor and the three well appointed en-suite bedrooms, including the fabulous master bedroom with its glorious sea views.
First Floor
A pair of original stained glass doors lead down one step from the landing to the master bedroom. Three large windows frame the magnificent views. A variety of wildlife and garden birds are regularly seen from the Master bedroom.
Wake up from the 5′ King sized (6’3″ length) Hypnos bed and enjoy you morning drink in bed looking across to the sea. Every season brings a change of scene and colour.
Two comfortable armchairs and a table offer guests further opportunity for relaxation while taking in the splendid views. A large fitted wardrobe with additional shelving offers guests plenty of hanging and storage space.
The ensuite master bathroom has a bath and separate walk in waterfall shower (with additional hand held hose attachment) large enough for two guests. The bath is positioned to have a sea view. Electric underfloor heating, towel rail and electric mirror cabinet allow year round guest comfort.,The second ensuite bedroom (Bedroom 2) also has a 5′ King sized zip and link Hypnos bed that can be configured as a king size, or two 2’6 single Hypnos beds on request (please state preference when booking). A freestanding wardrobe, with shelving and large drawer provides hanging and storage space.
Bedroom 2 en-suite features a large walk in waterfall shower (with additional hand held hose attachment) large enough for two guests, electric underfloor heating and towel rail, and electric mirror cabinet.
The third ensuite bedroom (Bedroom 3) has a 5 ‘ king sized Hypnos bed, and fitted wardrobe with shelving, for hanging and storage space. The ensuite features a walk-in rainfall shower (with additional handheld hose attachment) large enough for two guests, electric underfloor heating, towel rail, and electric mirror cabinet.
Every bedroom is provided with the following: A USB charging point, window blinds in a blackout fabric (or curtains lined with a black out fabric) some chinks of light may remain, a full length mirror, hairdryer, table and stool with additional mirror next to power points.
The Private Garden and Hot Tub
In addition to the veranda, Frog by the Sea Cottage also has its own private garden. This is mostly picket fenced, and features a lawned area with shade from an apple tree and surrounding trees, a patio area with table and chairs for 6 people, and also a garden conservatory with sofa and arm chairs. There are partial sea views from the garden (it being to the side of the cottage and partially sheltered by trees) and direct views of Frogmore’s terraced lawns and landscaped garden with a back drop of Golden Cap, Langdon Woods and the stunning West Dorset countryside.
Other than the views, the guests of the cottage favourite garden feature is the Canadian Arctic Spa hot tub (situated on the patio near the garden conservatory). The hot tub can accommodate up to 6 guests. A perfect place for guests to relax day or night.
There is very little light pollution at this location and so to sit in the hot tub at night-time, star gazing with the silhouette of Golden Cap in the background is an extra special and memorable experience.

Lisa and Philip's Vision
Owners, Lisa and Philip, have lovingly furnished Frog by the Sea in accordance with what they enjoy, and find essential when staying at a holiday cottage; including a well equipped kitchen, all en-suite bedrooms, comfortable (Hypnos) beds, stylish non fussy interiors, and a top quality hot tub. Full attention to detail has been used in every room to offer guests a holiday cottage that combines luxury with practicality. Of course, a box of Dorset Tea and Dorset Cereal is provided in every welcome hamper! (see A bit About Us)
They live on site in the neighbouring cottage (and their three dogs – all spayed bitches) and are available if guests need anything. Otherwise, they leave guests in privacy to enjoy their holiday (Frog by the Sea Cottage having its own private entrance and garden).
Since opening Frog by the Sea Cottage they have met some wonderful guests and feel it is a genuine privilege to contribute to the happiness and enjoyment of a guests holiday or break away.
