Jurassic Coast Holiday Cottage

Great for a getaway, very friendly and helpful owners, great views and property is full of all you need and to a brilliant standard, only disappointed for us was BBQs are not aloud (holiday website only said it wasn’t provided and not that it was prohibited).

Frog by the Sea cottage is beautiful and Lisa and Philip are wonderful hosts. The three bedrooms are very comfortable, the bathrooms finished to an excellent standard and very nice toiletries provided. The kitchen was fully equipped and the lounge very comfy. The hot tub was a joy to relax in after a long days walking. The location is great, the views stunning and great local pubs and restaurants. I would highly recommend a stay in Frog by the Sea

Look no further! You will not find a better cottage. Beautiful views, superbly done out, unbelievably well equipped and full of thoughtful little touches. Owners are attentive and discreet. Hot tub and conservatory are real highlights.

We have just spent a blissful 3 nights at this beautiful cottage with our daughter and son in law and Sid the doodle. On arrival we were greeted by 2 beautiful hampers..one for the adults (including vegan goodies for 2 of the guests) and one for Sid plus cakes in the fridge. It was all delicious. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and furnished. There was nothing that Philip and Lisa hadn’t thought of! There was a beautiful log burner in the lounge for the chilly evenings, after a dip in the gorgeous hot tub in the private garden. There was also a lovely conservatory to relax in during the day. The bedrooms and en suites were luxurious and the view from the main bedroom was stunning. This place is to be thoroughly recommended. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a bbq, but the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need if you don’t want to eat out. We ate at The Anchor Inn, but had to book in advance. On Satruday it was very busy and we had to wait quite some time to park. We very much look forward to visiting Frog By The Sea again very soon. Thank you so much.

A real home away from home!
Despite the British ‘summer’ weather doing its best to dampen our holiday we had the most amazing stay at The Frog by the Sea.
Lisa and Phillip have thought of everything to make this a wonderful holiday destination. Spotlessly clean (with a complimentary clean & second surprise gift basket half way through our 2 week stay!) The property has everything you could need. When not sampling the lovely restaurants in the area we could easily cater for the 6 of us in the well equipped kitchen. There was plenty of space to find your own corner of peace, play games around the table or cosy up in front of the tv and log burner with a nice bottle of something (yes it was August & yes the weather was that chilly one evening!) The hot tub was a welcomed treat to rest achy muscles after long walks and the perfect place to watch the sunset or the sea mist roll in.
Our dog is already missing spotting bunnies from the veranda and her morning walk to see the sheep and cause chaos in the paddock!
The biggest compliment I can give is that The Frog by the Sea kept 2 oldies, 2 twenty somethings, 2 teen- boys and an energetic dog happy for a fortnight – no small feat! Thank you again Lisa & Phillip – I’m sure we will be back next time we visit Dorset.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Frogbythesea it was amazing. This cottage is stunning & immaculately clean with every little detail thought of. We took our three dogs with us and they loved it too. A beautiful welcome hamper for us on arrival with a cake & bubbles as well and a basket of toys & treats for the dogs such a lovely gesture. Lisa & Philip are the perfect hosts. The Hot Tub is a special treat I highly recommend!!! We would love to come again, this is a 5 star experience which we are calling FROGTASTIC thanks for having us to stay x x x

Would recommend this cottage highly. Easy access to beautiful places whilst nestled in a pretty secluded spot with the most amazing views. The accommodation and equipment is of extremely high standard and our hosts were welcoming. We were greeted by beautiful flowers and a homemade cake, provisions and a goodie basket for the dogs. Hot tub a bonus.

“Hidden gem” We have just come back from a long weekend staying at Frog By The Sea. We were celebrating a birthday and arrived to banners, balloons, Prosecco and cake!!!

What an amazing surprise to have. Every room has thoughtful touches that made our stay so special. The views from the master bedroom and hot tub are beautiful.

The hosts Phillip and Lisa could not do enough for us and made us feel SO welcome – even our 6 month old pup got spoilt!
